Yes, those hardened, veteran, not oldschool but just plain old, listeners
among us will recognise this Ravebusters (www.ravebusters.de) remix of House Electric. It was a cool tune to begin with, all I did was make it louder ;]

Originally planned to be on my demo EP, it got cut for another piece that’s slightly lesser known as “The Best Tune in the World”, which will probably also feature on Noiz Phaktah later in the year…

Can’t hear it? Well try DeliTracker v2.32 or OctaMEDPlayer v7 on Amiga and WinAMP, DeliPlayer or the provided player (OctaMEDPlayer.exe) on Windows.

Release Date:

What happens when you take a normal tune, give Ravebusters the chance to remix it twice (www.ravebusters.de), then let it sit on the shelf for a few years before getting Hotcakes to massacre it?

Oh, you know where I’m heading with that…

Masssiiiiiiive thanks to Quiklite for some help structuring this one (we
end up cutting two whole sections out and the tune GREW by 3-4 minutes! Go figure) and Pioneer for the drums (I finally managed to use them!)… Nice one bruvva!

And as a special treat for Amy users, a little ARexx script to help the tunes’ performance. Just strap Siren.omed onto your REXX: directory and feel the G’s!

Can’t hear it? Well try DeliTracker v2.32 or OctaMEDPlayer v7 on Amiga and WinAMP, DeliPlayer or the provided player (OctaMEDPlayer.exe) on Windows.

Release Date:

Well it’s certainly been too long since the last release but hopefully we can settle down and get things going again. Starting with this: Quiklite’s debut dual-release for Noiz Phaktah. It’s been a long time coming. Plus a special little something by myself to help get the season’s festivities underway…

Theme of Bremmen

Quiklite – Bremmen Pathetique

Somewhat of a haunted classical piece this one. Bremmen, in case you’re wondering, is the lead nasty evil guy from a new PC game from a new group who are gunna rock the RTS world. Either that or it’s for a Kendall tune. Quiklite hasn’t decided yet =]

Quiklite – Theme of Bremmen

Beautifully understated, melodically sound and a bizarre backing, this is Quiklite’s experimentalist approach (even though he hates that terminology:) showing just how… well… unorthodox? unusual? different? don’t they all mean the same thing?!? he strives to be =] And it pays off, too, cuz, well, he -is- different =] And that’s a rare breed in today’s world of music…

Hotcakes – That Christmas Tune

Hard beat. Simple melodics. Doesn’t really fit in with the rest of this release =] But it is XMas after all and would a XMas be the same without my usual rompy remix? Not quite. Well, perhaps. Who’s to say =]

A small technical note about this tune : it features 8bit volume shading, as opposed to your typical Amiga tracker’s 6bit shading, or your typical new-age/PC tracker’s 7bit shading ;] Oooh.

Can’t hear them? Well try DeliTracker v2.32 or OctaMEDPlayer v7 on Amiga and WinAMP, DeliPlayer or the provided player (OctaMEDPlayer.exe) on Windows.

Title:
 Zombie Shuffle
Label:
 Noiz Phaktah
Catalog #:
 ‘007
Release Date:
2001/07/13

Well I said it was coming and by jove I meant it. Havn’t done a right good old hardcore track for a while – I almost feel like I’ve been neglecting my roots – but with some inspiration from the likes of The Simpsons and The Bugs Bunny Show, well, you know what happens =] This stuff. By me. It’s good. It’s nothing original but it gives you a jolly good romp ’round the living room, eh? Eh???

Since 90% of this tune was composed from other ppl’s samples, some credits are most likely in order:

2 – Arrest – The Simpsons (and a damn good line it is, too:)
4 – bad – The Simpsons (Halloween Special)
5 – BassyExtro – Sony (PSX boot sample pt 2, reversed)
A – BOING – Could be from anywhere =]
C – camel – Again, anywhere =] Sounds like a Zombie murmur
G – bass drum1 –
I – giggledy.snd – From a song played on Big Brother recently =]
K – good – The Simpsons (But it comes with frozen yoghurt!)
N – puppy2 – Beats me
O – puppy1 – Beats me
P – raspberry – I -think- it’s from Wizkid ;]
Q – Tropfen.8svx – From the BlueEyes distribution
R – Twang! –
S – SteOpus1 – From Stefan’s Directory Opus Theme – -so- corny
T – Clap4 – Beats me
U – drums20 – Beats me
V – jaws.snd – JAWS, of course!
10 – SteOpus10 – Corny bassline thanks to the same DOpus Theme
11 – FirstBlood.3 – Sounds like something Warners Bros came up with!
12 – – Sample 2 cut up and pingpong looped
13 – SteOpus02 – Stefan’s DOpus Theme
14 – ZombieShuffle.iff – This one is actually mine =]
15 – square.wav – Moog Roland
1H – Fire.5 – Everyone knows the Road Runner ;]
1K – FirstBlood.2 – Beats me (found in a WORMSDC sample set)
1T – – From sample 15 but with some effects I put on it

Can’t hear it? Well try DeliTracker v2.32 on Amiga, DeliPlayer, WinAMP or the provided player (OctaMEDPlayer.exe) on Windows, but you really just can’t go past the OctaMEDPlayer v7 for the Amiga – still the only thing that plays ’em right!

Yeehar! Tonight it’s the Fatboy Slim himself turnin on the decks and we ain’t got none of that stale old hardhouse shit – it’s originality all the way baby, so smoke that dope and turn this up, hope it’s a good crop or this shit’ll make you drop!

Rough translation : Recently in conjunction with Noise and Triple J the Fatster released his Star 69 samples to be remixed by the Australian youth. That’s all over now but we at the Noiz Phaktory thought it cool to release our entries in a dual release-type fashion.

Pioneer – Star 69 Remix (Tracker Edit)

Pioneer has been kind enough to track his MP3 entry for us. Hope y’all like it as much as I do… The beat in position 15 rocks, most heavily =]

Lyrics go along the lines of the original : “They know what is what, but they don’t know what is what, they just strut, what the fuck”

Of course, the word fuck was removed from the samples Fatboy gave us ;]

Hotcakes – Say What? (Radio Edit)

This is -still- the only mix I have heard whose speech sounds like it came from an Actual Person, instead of the Frankenstein-style computer generated sounding original. Of course, I -would- say that ;]

In true Hotcakes stylee I have mashed the lyrics into something I think became a little more meaningful than the original : “They say they know what is what, but they don’t know what is what, they just don’t know what they say – just say what”

Well, I wasn’t given a lot to work with here ;]

Can’t hear it? Well try DeliTracker v2.32 on Amiga, DeliPlayer, WinAMP or the provided player (OctaMEDPlayer.exe) on Windows, but you really just can’t go past the OctaMEDPlayer v7 for the Amiga – still the only thing that plays ’em right!

This is what happens when I get toys of destruction to play with =]

Turn your volume UP for this one (nb: Noiz Phaktah will take no responsibility for the damage of your speakers) – as you normally do, I would suspect =] This sort of tune has probably been done before, but I just -had- to turn that Boulderdash-sounding (growing mold/cheese) sample into a bassline!

Samples come from a Moog Rogue and a Roland TR-909 and (NiceBaseDrum) comes from… who knows! I sampled it from somewhere, can’t remember for the life of me, but it’s the best damn bassdrum I have, I use it in almost everything =]

Hotcakes – Pop Your Fizzbang! {‘003}

Title:
Pop Your Fizzbang!

 Noiz Phaktah
Catalog #:
 ‘003
Release Date:
2001/03/05

Pop Your Fizzbang!

This has to be the weirdest thing I’ve ever written, not only because of the chicken samples (which sound cool, by the way:) but mostly because I’ve never written a tune that doesn’t have a boppy beat…

Sample creds must go to a few people – “Rap ‘n chicken.wav” related samps are thanks to Mr Pioneer – beat1.wav was taken from Dr Fetid’s old site (before it turned MP3! Argh!) which you can find links to (umm, somewhere:) from http://www.mono211.org.

BONUS TUNE!!! Well, it’s been sitting on my harddrive for a good 2 years now, so I decided to give it -some- publicity via da Noiz :

Dungeon

Here is the kareoke version of a tune inspired by some of Quiklite’s fascinating lyrics, not so fascinating without those aforementioned vocals which have been cut due to a much needed complete remaster. So here you can bop along to the backing and… invent your own lyrics. Or something.

Orange Mango has sadly decided not to release anything for the group and so our memberlist looks a little bit shorter today 😦 I’m still hoping for a guest release in the future perhaps, because, damn, he’s good! Anyhow in the real world, future releases from Noiz will see a beating of your eardrums lo-fi stylee by one of our more ‘pioneering’ members, geddit? 🙂

Other news? Nothing special, but we have decided to drop the Y in Noyz Phaktah and replace it with an I, making those logos out of date (uhh, they allready were!), myself, I’ve lost my net access for a while (stupid flatmate and his bill neglecting!!!) so I can’t get Spawn to make a new one 🙂 Live with it!

Can’t hear it? Well try DeliTracker v2.32 on Amiga, WinAMP, ModPlug or the provided player (OctaMEDPlayer.exe) on Windows, but you really just can’t go past the OctaMEDPlayer v7 for the Amiga – still the only thing that plays ’em right!

Welcome to the first Noyz Phaktah release for January. Scrub that. 2001. Scrub that.

Welcome to the first Noyz Phaktah release ever! New mods on the block, this one’ll have you romping ’round the room for a solid half hour. Enjoy that cut-up rave/bad dj feel at only half the price. Turn off that subwoofer though, these ancient 8bit samples show what ancient 8bit samples are really capable of – white guys may need to turn up the treble!

No email addys for anyone yet; I forgot to ask if I can post them in this nfo, so more of them in the next release. Speaking of which, we have some tip-top trance coming your way from tangy sensation Orange Mango, the most breakbeaterest acid from Pioneer and other newbie-wannabe-buttheyreallyare-sogreatyougottahearem-type peeps, read the memberlist for details 😉
