the day has come! finally we are able to bring you new material from loke who has completed his military service and moved in the same city than me. we hope to be able to give out some fruits of this co-operation to you sooner or later.

this time we’re representing simply fabulous orientally moody tune titled ‘ninjas on the beach’ which combines the great electronic textures to the cheap sounding mall synth fibres. just imagine the ninjas with their black suits on a thai beach with oriental sun rising on the back. i hope that loke’s absense has only made you miss his music more!

at first i want to express how grateful i am to the guys who’re still with us after all these years. voodoo will turn four in the end of june and it took us this long before starting to form into the shape. some of course have been loyal to the values from the very beginning and it’s one of the reasons we’re such a good team today.

loke’s superior ‘falling’ starts a serie of classic tracks on voodoo. the idea is to pick one old track every now and then from our artists. these tracks are mostly from the former years of our artists music career, some even before they’ve teamed up with voodoo.

‘falling’ was composed already before, but first announced to public in 1996 by loke’s live performance in ‘metsä’ electronic music happening. this track was chosen as classic because it exposes different loke than you’ve used to as an voodoo artist. as full of hope and happiness as the track is, it sounds entirely unlike his usual tracks.it has bought it’s place in the classics.

the winter has landed to finland. down here in the south it’s been hellish cold of -5 degrees for some days now, no wonder i’m freezing. i’m just sending warm greetings up north to loke and a/oc who are probably having bad symptoms of hypothermia these days 🙂 however, i’ve got a nice amount of loke’s quality material to release again and this time we ‘wave in’ to idm styled track from him. this one’s a fab.

huh we are running up fast since i want to push a new release out per each musician for starters. actually i’ve had some problems in uploading the previous releases to aminet and that’s why these releases appear to be out at the same time. check the release dates for correct ones.

this debut from loke, after reformation of voodoo comes in form of really impressive material. it is obvious that loke has spent time working out this absolutely fabulous track. really hard, really dark and really loke. the title is called ‘pendolino’ and its the name of a finnish bullet train don’t overdose with this cos it might cause some bad trips.

here in voodoo we are going through some kind of uprising these days which makes me really satisfied. as rough it has been the last months i am happy to release this music with increasing speed. it is already second in a row from my favourite electronician, loke and infact, i’ve also got a whole ep coming up from him yet this autumn. this track is amazingly astonishing piece of modern electronic music. it’s almost impossibly difficult to put loke’s music to words because of the smartness of the tracks. this one, as every other track of his, has got some fine controlled intelligence and at the same time, hairy disturbed beasts on the loose. sinking. hypnotizing.

..aaand here we go again. the title ain’t that innovative but when it comes to the track itself we can find out that the master of ‘angst’ ;D loke has done some really  precious job again. sounding very lo-fi at the same time  when being true hi-fi that is 🙂 real mysterious and weird track that suits  in the voodoo style really well. it’s something very close to squarepushers music, though this track is way much more distressing. anyway, sounds great.
