Filtro se enorgullece de poder presentar en su catalogo de artistas a Antiguo Automata Mexicano, proyecto de Angel Sánchez, músico mexicano basado en la ciudad de Monterrey, que en el 2004 fue firmado por Background Records, en Düsseldorf, Alemania, editando su album “Microhate”, que ha sido reseñado a nivel internacional en revistas especializadas con bastante aceptación.

“Co.Opt ep” marca un punto de transición en la obra de AAM entre su afamado “Microhate” y trabajos posteriores, ya que dos de las piezas de este ep, “Second Imago” y “Metamistake” formaron parte de las sesiones de Microhate, y aunque no llegaron a ser incluídas, son sin duda alguna excelentes muestras de la calidad de Angel y su capacidad de generar mundos rítmicos llenos de abstracción y flujo, mientras que “Walter Schmidt”, que es un homenaje al músico de la mítica agrupación mexicana Decibel, y “Co.Opt”, incorporan un sabor de techno minimal llevando el sonido de AAM a un dancefloor discreto y visionario.

Filtro is proud of being able to present in his artists’ catalogue to Antiguo Automata Mexicano, project of Angel Sánchez, Mexican musician based on the city of Monterrey, which in 2004 it was signed by Background Records, in Düsseldorf, Germany, editing his album ” Microhate “, which has been outlined worldwide in magazines specialized with enough acceptance.

“Co. Opt ep ” marks a point of transition in the work of AAM between his famous “Microhate” and later works, since two of the pieces of this ep, ” Second Imago ” and ” Metamistake ” were part of the meetings of Microhate, and though they did not become included, there are undoubtedly some excellent samples of Angel’s quality and his aptitude to generate rhythmic worlds full of abstraction and flow, whereas ” Walter Schmidt “, which is a homage to the musician of the mythical Mexican grouping Decibel, and ” Co. Opt ” incorporate a flavor of minimal techno taking the sound of AAM to a discreet and visionary dancefloor.
