Welcome to the 4four NetLabel: our grand idea is to release tracks for free so that artists can get greater exposure and ideas that wouldn’t be commercially viable for most labels can get a public forum. The quality bar is set as high as it would be for any other label, but because we’re not commercially motivated and we’re not at the mercy of distribution companies that refuse to take risks. We can release whatever we think is good, we can also put out tracks that are slightly left of field without worries about being dropped due to low sales. There’s no formula or ‘sound’ to 4four, so don’t expect a purist minimal site, or chicago house site, we will put out anything we think is worthy regardless of genre.
The netlabel is run by DJ Paul Louth (www.paullouth.com), a regular on the London scene he brings his considerable experience of what moves dancefloors in London and around the world to help shape the 4four sound.
